Emma & Luke
I personally have never felt more like a princess in my life.
The proposal
Emma and Luke met at school when they were 15, but it took them a couple of years to get together. They finally made their relationship official in August 2011.
Luke popped the question on Emma’s 21st birthday. He gave her a tube of little pots, with lids spelling out “I LOVE YOU”. As Emma opened the pots she was happy to find each one contained some of her favourite sweets…until the last pot. This one was a little different! Inside the lid it said “Will you marry me” and inside was a beautiful engagement right.
The planning
Emma and Luke loved The Orchard from their first visit.
We viewed The Orchard and we instantly knew it was the place for us, Luke felt comfortable and that the venue had a homely feel to it. I absolutely loved the decor and the look of the building.
We had both already decided that we wanted an outside wedding so the surrounding grounds to The Orchard just made everything about the venue perfect, but there were many alternatives in case the weather wasn’t on our side.
And to top it off the amazing prices and packages the venue had to offer were wonderful, the staff from the get go was amazing and attentive to all our questions and asks.
The big day
The wedding took place in August 2021 – marking ten years since Emma and Luke had got together. The weather was definitely on their side, with cotton wool clouds giving their photos a perfect English-summer feel.
Emma looked beautiful in her exquisitely embroidered wedding dress, with a sweetheart neckline and gorgeously full train. Luke’s stylish, light grey suit complemented her perfectly.
They were married in our Garden Gazebo and, while their guests enjoyed reception drinks, they made the most of our gorgeous countryside to take more personal photos.
Meanwhile, the children made the most of our garden games!
Their wedding breakfast was held in the Starlight Suite, along with their first dance (and plenty more dancing after that).
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way and there are so many moments of the day that stand out to me thanks to the staff at The Orchard making our dream wedding happen.
In fact picking our favourite part of the wedding day is so hard, but I would have to say mine is when we had our first dance, the fairy lights in the room and the floor we had hired made it so romantic and special, it honestly felt like we were the only two people in the room at that moment, I personally have never felt more like a princess in my life.
I again would like to say a massive thank you to Tanith and the whole team at The Orchard for making our day the most amazing, perfect day we could have ever imagined.
