Our message to you, through COVID-19.
During the past few weeks, we have been under the unrelenting whim and mercy of the Coronavirus.
The impact it has caused. The anguish. And most importantly, the undoubtable sadness that has swept us all.
It was never going to be easy to write this blog after having to lockdown our beloved venue, distancing ourselves from our excited couples and the colleagues who we work with, so closely with every day.
Whilst we’ve all been monitoring the situation, day by day and announcement after announcement, it was with a heavy heart the decision was made and that for some of our wonderful couples, the time came to do the most difficult task we have ever encountered.
The postponements of their wedding day.
Even though it is the right thing to do, it was most definitely not the easiest.
So many couples have had to receive the phone calls of pure disappointment, which has been the most heartbreaking responsibility we have ever had.
But sometimes situations arise which are not under our control.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who were at the end of these phone calls.
A thank you for being as kind as you could be in this difficult time, a thank you to those who shed tears with us, to those who have offered understanding and kindness even though their own hearts were breaking and to those who were sympathetic to us – we cannot thank you enough for your patience, flexibility and compassion.
We ask you to try and remember that we’re all in this together.
Your venue and your wedding team, your photographer, your cake maker, your toastmaster, your driver…
Even the lady who sashes your chairs…
None of us want this to be happening to you and your day, any more than you do.
So please – be gentle with us.
During this time we encourage you to contact us if you ever worry or have a concern about your upcoming wedding day. Communication is key. Your wedding is important to us, please remember that.
In the spirit of unity, let’s also take a whimsical chance on possibly changing our perspective…
Always remember one thing – The comeback is always better than the set back.
Round one may not of gone your way, or maybe your still in the fight.
The way I see it, right now, we are all in the bonus round. The prize – ‘Time’.
Time to Think – Time to Plan – Time to Act
Never in our normal daily routines would we be given this opportunity. Am I right?
So, lets grab it with both hands and take it for all it is worth.
Consider that if you will.
For now – Stay safe. Stay home. Stay positive – Let’s all unite in hope for a better few weeks!
We cannot wait to welcome you back with open arms.
We Miss You!
