A historic stone garden wall borders part of the space, adding character and charm, and beyond it the rolling fields of Bearsted stretch into the distance, creating a breathtaking countryside backdrop.
In summer, the patio is ideal for welcome drinks, served from rustic bars or antique baths filled with chilled Fizz.
Couples can also choose bespoke drinks stations or even add games such as crazy golf, giving guests a fun, relaxed way to mingle before the ceremony begins.
A walkway at the edge of the lawn leads directly into the open fields, offering a stunning setting for couple portraits.
Oak Rooms
The Oak Rooms sit at the heart of the venue and form the original 14th-century farmhouse that The Orchard grew from. This Grade II listed part of the main house features original Viking oak beams and historic architecture that has been carefully restored and paired with warm, boutique-style interiors. The result is a space that feels intimate, characterful and full of atmosphere, without feeling formal.
Once known as Otham Grove Farmhouse, this historic building has entered a new chapter as The Orchard.
Set across different levels, the Oak Rooms are made up of three snug areas, each with low beams, cosy corners and a sense of history that runs through the building.
The Oak Rooms are used for pre-wedding drinks and relaxed post-ceremony celebrations, giving guests a comfortable place to gather before moving through to the wedding breakfast.
With countryside views and the original farmhouse layout The Oak rooms make for a beautiful space and Great photo opportunities.
The Fields
Our neighbouring Kent countryside rolling hills, is one of our best photo spots here at The Orchard.
The fields provides a perfect area for our couples to go for a walk for some much needed alone time, with their wedding photography just behind capaturng those perfect moments.
Whether this is during your post ceremony drinks to feel that sun on your face, after your wedding breakfast so you capture that golden hour or sunset glow that sets behind the venue.

Our closest hotel is just 5 minutes away from The Orchard – Tudor Marriot Hotel our couples most popular hotel due to how close it is to the venue with a spa and golf course is works for both bride and groom.
If you are looking for something a little different then The Potting Shed or Wishful Thinker have the perfect little huts for couples, with a restaurant connected a perfect place to meet up for breakfast the following morning.
