Welcome Your Guests in Style: The Charm of Our 14th Century Oak Rooms
When planning your wedding day, it’s important to think about your guests as well as the ceremony itself. Having a welcoming space where they can relax before and after the big moment makes a huge difference, and that’s where our 14th century Oak Rooms come in.

A Space Steeped in History
Originally constructed in the 14th century, our Oak Rooms began life as Otham Grove (or Otham Lodge), a farmhouse serving the nearby orchards. Over the centuries, the building has seen many transformations, from sheltering orchard farmers to housing farm animals in its elegant lower rooms. Significant alterations during the 16th, 17th, and 19th centuries shaped the building into the traditional Wealden-style gem we know today.
Many of the original features remain, including the stunning Viking oak roof beams, giving the space character and history that you and your guests, will love.

Boho Boutique Charm
Today, our Oak Rooms are styled with a boho boutique aesthetic that feels like a home away from home. Couples often tell us they could easily imagine living here, an easy sentiment to agree with, as it truly is a magical space.
On your wedding day, your guests will be welcomed into this warm, inviting setting. The bar will be open for pre-ceremony drinks, closing just 20 minutes before the ceremony so everyone can be comfortably seated. After you’ve said “I do,” your guests can enjoy drinks and canapés in our beautiful garden areas and Oak Rooms, giving them time to mingle and soak in the atmosphere.

A Space for Memories
Not only does the Oak Rooms provide a comfortable, stylish space for your guests, it also makes a stunning backdrop for photos, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.
From history to hospitality, our Oak Rooms are ready to make your wedding day as comfortable, memorable, and beautiful as possible for both you and your guests.
